Popular Spots for Youth Sports and Training in San Jose

Every young athlete needs a place to play. Luckily, San Jose has many great options, at varying costs, for their young athletes to play and train.

Villa Sport

Villa Sport is a gym in northeast San Jose. This gym offers clubs and programs for kids while their parents work out. It is a great option to allow parents some time to get a workout in. Memberships are expensive, at around $112 per month, and it is much more geared toward adults than kids, but it has many child-friendly amenities.

Santa Teresa Little League Fields

Santa Teresa Little League Fields are a great place to get some work in on the diamond! It is $95 to register for a season of Little League, but if you are just looking to practice, their website tracks all available fields and addresses. With at least 20+ fields available, it is a great way to practice some baseball, even if you’re not in the league.

Union Little League

Similarly, Union Little League also has a nice network of four baseball fields, varying in size. Though there are fewer fields, they are all in one place in South San Jose, so it is nice if you have kids at multiple stages of their Little League journey. Check their site in the winter or spring to see registration costs.

Milpita Sports Center

Milpita Sports Center is a highly-rated gym for everyone in Northeast San Jose. Since it is government-owned, there are fees for one-time entry and membership options, but it is quite affordable. They offer basketball courts, football fields, three pools, and baseball fields, all of which can be accessed easily and affordably.

Ramac Park

Ramac Park is perhaps the best place in San Jose for youth sports. There are facilities for softball, basketball, soccer, and tennis. Of course, as this is an outdoor location, weather becomes a factor, but Ramac Park offers a great opportunity for young athletes to grow their game.

San Jose offers numerous options for youth sports and training. Whether you are looking for a gym, a park, or specialized sports fields, there is something for everyone. For more personalized coaching to help your young athlete improve, check out Athletes Untapped.
