Top Outdoor Basketball Courts in Chester County for Summer Play

During the summer, there are so many outdoor basketball court options, especially in the Chester County area. The worst feeling is when you walk into your gym and the basketball courts are all used up for pickleball, pilates, kid camps, etc. Many people would be frustrated and think they could just try to get on the indoor court tomorrow. However, there are several alternatives to ensure you can still get shots up. Here are some of the best outdoor basketball courts in Chester County to help you stay active and improve your skills.

Best Outdoor Basketball Courts in Chester County

West Goshen Community Park

  • Location: 1023 Fern Hill Rd., West Chester, PA 19380

West Goshen has two full basketball courts in the back of the park. If you park your car in the main parking area, walk past the playground and the theater, and make a right onto the path, you will see a large fence enclosing the basketball courts. These courts are in reasonably good condition. They are a nice size and have four hoops. The hoops are double-rimmed, which can be frustrating initially, but they are even better for improving your shot. The double-rims make your shot even more precise. If you are also looking for a place to play pickup, many afternoons there is at least one full court being used with people who come to scrimmage.

This park is perfect for parents with children who want to do more than one activity. There are two full playgrounds, baseball fields, tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, lacrosse nets, and a walking path that is about eight-tenths of a mile.

Miller Park

  • Location: 220 Miller Way, Exton, PA 19341

Miller Park is located in Exton, not far from the Exton Mall. This park is near the shopping center with Kohl’s, Nothing Bundt Cakes, and Party City. The park has a full basketball court located in front of the parking lot and next to the two tennis courts. The park is usually crowded due to the popular tennis courts and a nice playground, but you can get a hoop to yourself if you go at the right time. The courts are in nice condition, and they are enclosed with a large fence, which is a nice bonus. Overall, this is a great outdoor court option.

Broad Run Park

  • Location: Broad Run Rd., Downingtown, PA 19335

Broad Run Park is located in Downingtown. The basketball courts are described as well-kept and clean. A full court is lined with white paint to show clearly where the court starts and ends, along with where the three-point and foul lines are. There are great play areas for young children, a walking trail a little under a mile around the park, tennis courts, and a roller skating rink. The reviews show that the park would be a great place to get up shots.

Everhart Park

  • Location: 100 S. Brandywine St., West Chester, PA 19380

Everhart Park is located in the borough of West Chester. It is within walking distance for those who live in the town area of West Chester. There is one full basketball court with two rims. Although both ends of the court have three-point lines, it may be challenging to shoot threes from the corners because this area is near the end of the court. Two full parks are right next to the basketball court. Even though it might not be my number one choice for outdoor courts, it is definitely a good and convenient option!
